Auxiliary Outreach encourages members and Auxiliaries to volunteer their time under the direction of another organization for the benefit of the community. When an entire Auxiliary partners with another organization outside our own, it is considered Auxiliary Outreach if the project was approved by the Auxiliary and recorded in the meeting minutes prior to the project.
Auxiliary Outreach:
Involves no money, just your time.
Event cannot be reported under any other Program.
Please be sure you wear something that identifies you as a VFW Auxiliary member (shirt/blouse; pin; cap/hat; etc.)
Examples of where volunteer help may be needed in your community: Meals on Wheels; Animal Shelters; Soup Kitchens; Food Pantries; American Diabetes Association; Relay for Life; American Humane Society; Salvation Army (bell ringing at Christmas); Rotary; Chamber of Commerce; Ruritans; Lions Club; Museums; Senior Centers; City/Council Government; Informative Event; First Responders.
